Nutrition News
The Riverside Local School District is committed to providing high quality meals to students at an affordable price to families. Healthy choices for breakfast and lunch are offered daily to our over 4300 students, which translates to almost 3000 meals per day. The Department of Nutrition Services strictly adheres to the USDA mandates and regulations regarding the sale of food items to children in schools. We offer chef salads, fresh fruits, and veggies at every school, every day, including locally grown produce when available.

The Department of Nutrition Services is a self-sustaining department that relies on meal and a la carte sales to continue its service.

Free & Reduced Price Meal Eligibility
Free and reduced price meal forms can be accessed through your parent portal in Infinite Campus (click the 'more' tab at the bottom left - and then click on 'Meal Benefits') or it can be downloaded and printed HERE.

If your student received free or reduced price meals last year, that benefit carries over until October 2nd. Please fill out a new form by that date so there is no interruption in your child’s meal benefits. Please continue to provide your student with money or a packed lunch until you get notification that your application has been approved.

Our charging policy states that if a student has no money on their account they may not charge breakfast  or any a la carte items in any of our cafeterias. We will provide an elementary student with a courtesy lunch if money or lunch is forgotten, with the expectation that this would be repaid the next day. If you have any questions regarding our nutrition department you may contact Michelle Gifford at Michelle.Gifford@riversideschools.net
