Registration

If you are new to the Riverside Local School District, you must register your children to the District online. Parents and legal guardians no longer have to visit the Board Office to register their children. However, if you do not have access to a computer or the internet, you can make an appointment with our Registration Office to register your child. Please note that the Registration Office is no longer located in the Board Office. The Registration Office is located at 485 Riverside Drive, Painesville, Ohio, 44077.

To complete the online registration, you will need the following required documents:
* Official Birth Certificate
* Two Proofs of Residency
* Parent/Legal Guardian's Driver's License or Photo ID
* Immunization Records
* Court Stamped and Dated Custody Papers (if applicable)
* Current IEP & ETR/MFE (if applicable). 

Please scan the above documents and upload them to the Online Registration when prompted. If you do not have the ability to upload documents, you can still complete the Online Registration, but the required documents MUST be emailed or brought in to our Registration Office. Please note - we cannot finalize or accept the registration without the required documents.

EXISTING FAMILIES ENROLLING A NEW STUDENT – if you currently have an existing student within the Riverside Local School District, please log into the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus and click 'More' in the bottom left corner and then on the Required Online Forms link and then on 'Add A New Student' to register a new student. All documents listed above will be required. 

AGE REQUIREMENT: To be eligible for kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, children must be 5 years of age on or before August 24, 2026. This is to align with House Bill 114's new requirement that children entering kindergarten must be 5 years of age on, or before, the first day of instruction (this date can change slightly from school year to school year). Kindergarten Registration for the 26-27 school year will begin on Monday, March 30, 2026. If your child does not meet the age requirement, but you believe your child is ready for kindergarten, please contact our Student Services Director Camille Ritt at camille.ritt@riversideschools.net for information on Early Entrance to Kindergarten.
