What's Happening at Preschool
Preschool registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now full. To join a waiting list, please email riverside.registration@riversideschools.net.

Please note that due to House Bill 114, the District is adjusting the age eligibility for preschool. To be eligible for preschool, children must be 3 years of age on, or before, August 24, 2026. This is to align with House Bill 114’s new requirement that children entering kindergarten must be 5 years of age on, or before, the first day of instruction - which is August 24, 2026. (additional information regarding kindergarten registration to be released later)

The Riverside Preschool Program serves both typically developing children as well as children with disabilities ages 3-5. If your child is currently on an IEP, please contact our District Registrar at 440.358.8204 prior to completing the registration process.

The cost of tuition is $125 per month – per student. First month of tuition, as a deposit, is required upon registration (cash or check only). Deposits are nonrefundable.

Preschool will be housed at Riverview Elementary and will be held four days per week (Monday-Thursday). There will be AM classes and PM classes. The AM class is 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the PM class is 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The preschool program is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and follows a state approved curriculum that is aligned to the Ohio Early Childhood Content Standards. The goal is to prepare all children for Kindergarten by implementing all five developmental domains; fine/gross motor, communicative, adaptive, cognitive, and social/emotional. In addition to the five developmental domains, children will learn how to compromise, be respectful to others, and problem solve - preschool provides a place where your child can gain a sense of self, explore, play with peers and build confidence. The preschool teachers are licensed by the Ohio Department of Education.
