Treasurer/CFO

The Riverside Local School District is committed to fiscal responsibility and transparency in all financial transactions.  The Treasurer serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the district and reports directly to the Board of Education.  The Treasurer and his staff work in conjunction with the Superintendent to support the educational mission and programming of the district.

   
The Treasurer's Office oversees the financial operations of the District and is responsible for all accounting and payroll functions. The District is audited annually by the Auditor of State and the audit reports are available on the Auditor of State website and below on this page. The Treasurer is responsible for preparing the District's annual tax budget and the Five-Year Financial Forecast.  

In addition, the Treasurer serves as Secretary to the Board of Education. In this role, the Treasurer's office holds all contracts, documents, and the official minutes of all Board of Education meetings. Also, the Treasurer serves as the Records Custodian and is responsible for compiling and responding to all public records requests.

Monthly cash basis financial reports are posted each month once the books are closed and the reports are approved at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education.

Annual financial reports prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) are posted once audited and released by the Ohio Auditor of State's office.
